Construction Environmental Compliance

Preventing pollution, protecting nearby waterways, and maintaining compliance—saving time, cost, and making a positive environmental impact.

Stormwater management on active construction site prevents sediment and pollutants from leaving disturbed areas and impacting nearby waterways. Projects that are disturbing one acre or more, or those within a larger common development, must obtain permit coverage under the Florida National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES). This is administered through the Florida Construction Generic Permit (CGP). Compliance is achieved by installing and maintaining Best Management Practices (BMPs) such as erosion and sediment controls, along with routine inspections to protect water quality and keep projects in compliance.

We help our Clients:

  • Pre-construction: Develop and maintain the SWPPP, submit the NOI for CGP coverage and notify the local MS4 operator when required.
  • During construction: Identify correct erosion and sediment control BMPs, conduct routine and rain-event inspections, document findings and corrective actions, and consult on preventing offsite sediment or pollutant runoff.
  • Project close-out: Promote and achieve final stabilization of disturbed areas and submit the NOT within 14 days of meeting stabilization requirements.
