June is Safety Month

The National Safety Council (NSC) has dedicated June as National Safety Month. National Safety Month is an annual observance to help keep one another safe, from the workplace to any place. This year’s safety month is broken down into four topics by week. The first week of June discusses preventing incidences before they happen by identifying risks and taking proactive measures to reduce harm. Week two focuses on COVID-19 concerns. Week three’s theme is the vitality of feeling safe on the job. Lastly, week 4 is about advancing your safety journey through continuous improvements.

On construction sites especially, it is of utmost importance to always keep safety in mind. Proper personal protection equipment (PPE) like high visibility clothing, hardhats, eye protection, and boots are often required regardless of on-site activity.  As a contractor you are responsible for ensuring everyone that enters the site complies with safety requirements – both your own crews and subcontractors as well.

When you hire KCI to handle the stormwater management needs of your site, you can be assured that our inspectors will adhere to the highest standards of construction site safety.  All our inspectors are provided with and required to wear standard PPE.  We have adopted enhanced COVID-19 protocols to ensure safety of others.  Each team member at KCI engages in a weekly discussion on new safety topics to reinforce our knowledge and efforts toward safety.  KCI cares deeply about protecting the environment and we care about protecting workers equally.  If you want expert, safety-oriented site inspectors, give us a call today and see how we can help you manage your stormwater program – (888) 346-7779.
